There’ll be little time to contemplate the gently falling leaves, appreciate the smell of burning charcoal or fish the canal for the golden Rudd this autumn as the kerfuffle surrounding the September release of The Black Project reaches its peak.
Between September 4th and 7th there will be an exhibition of some of the original lino prints and embroideries that went into The Black Project, plus one or two surprise installations. It’ll all be at the London Print Studio, London W10 4RE. Further info here
Then, as part of The Lakes International Comic Art Festival, I’ll be showing work at the Castle Dairy in a show entitled ‘Getting Yourself A Girlfriend is Easy’ between the 16th September and November 10th. Info about all the exhibitions taking place can be found here
Already I’m hard at work editioning prints and trying to remember what I’ve done with half of the embroideries. In the meantime here’s some images to whet your appetite.
Lino print of ‘Jessica’, one of the protagonists ghastly creations.
Embroidery of a suburban street scene.
Lino print of ‘Charlotte’.
One of the most difficult tasks is deciding which embroideries to include.
